So lately I have been obsessing over the whole tassel trend. I love how many brands are creating different looks and accessories with it. It has been a strong trend for a couple of months.
I decided to look online for some earrings. Let me tell you that I found some pretty expensive ones. To keep it completely honest with you guys, I have been trying to be smart about my finances and paying $36.00 for a pair of earrings did not seemed like a smart move. So I decided to get creative and DIY my own tassel earrings. I had help from my dear friend Yoda. We were able to hang out and make this cute earrings. I created this small tutorial and I hope you guys enjoy it.
I took a trip to my favorite storeJO-ANN . This store is always organize and people are very helpful. They also have an app where you can download with all the information and COUPONS!! so here we go….
What you will need:
DMC Satin Embroidery Floss,
Blue Moon Ear Wire
Blue Moon Findings Bead cap
**All the items I purchased were under $10.00 and I used a coupon so it really helped** Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored.
Wrap tassel floss around your hand and cut it in half. You can decide which ever length you would like.
Fold one of the pieces in half by creating a little top bun, and use a piece of the tassel floss or thread like I did and wrap it around making sure all the tassels are kept together.
Once you have created the top bun, insert the hook inside the bead cap.
Then grab the glue gun, place some glue inside the bead cap and attach it to the top bun of the tassel. Hold it for 6 sec. so that the glue will hold quicker.
and…BAM!! you have created some cool tassel earrings.!! GOOD JOB <3
Here is the Final Product! You can create as many as you can and make them longer or shorter. Here is a pic of my friend Yoda wearing the earrings she made, and her cute son trying to pull them haha!
and of course I had to take a quick picture and show you mines!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Remember you can create anything, use what you have and have fun while doing it. I had a great time creating this earrings with my friend and shooting this DIY. Stay tune for more. Have a great week friends.
Welcome to the new site! I am so thankful for you, thank you for supporting me on this journey. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and take this blog journey to a new level. I hope you got some time to peek around and see the new features that I added on this site.
June has been a great month so far. Lots of great opportunities and many blessings. I have to be honest but it has been a very busy month and very HOT.
For my ladies I wanted to share with you some key pieces that I have seen on the street and runways that are quite HOT this summer. This is just an idea of what is currently trending. This doesn’t mean you have to get them all right now. There are some affordable pieces out there that you can buy and keep wearing them during the year.
I found some great pieces and got creative with photoshop!
The following images are just some samples on how you can style these items.
and many other stores but these are some of my faves.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Go out there and get creative with your summer looks. Don’t over spend, but purchase items that are of great quality and that you can wear over and over again no matter the season. Continue to have a great week friends, the weekend is almost here!
I can’t believe that June is here. June is a very special month for me because it’s my birthday month. A lot of people look at getting older as a bad thing but I don’t at all. I have accomplished a lot of great things in my life and there is so much more to do, so it’s exciting to see what doors God will open.
Every summer since I was little there was a celebration. My brothers birthday is in June too, and many times we have celebrated our birthdays together. This year he got an internship with a great company and we won’t be together but I am so happy for him and proud that he is chasing his dreams as well.
June brings summer and it brings change. It ‘s a new month to set goals, and to enjoy life as well. I am learning to do that more because I get on this mindset of work work work like Rihanna would say and I don’t take the time to enjoy life like I should.
So I created this mood board for this month. I was so inspired by the colors, items, and textures. So dreamy!
So what’s in for June?
I am creating a new website for my blog. Time to invest a little more and make it more professional so stay tune.!
For the first time attending BLOGHER 2017! it’s a huge conference and I am attending as a blogger/influencer VIP thanks to my blogging mentor Laila. (check out her awesome blog too)
Creating and creating more helpful content for you my friends.
Personal: I want to get closer to God so I will try my best to read my bible more and brake down scriptures for better understanding.
Eating healthy & working out more.
Celebrating life with my family & close friends.
So what are your plans or things you are looking forward on this month?
I hope you guys enjoy this post. Go out there and gather inspiration, create a mood board, set your goals and continue to go after your dreams. Best wishes for the rest of this June.
P.S: Photos found on Pinterest. I don’t own any rights to any of them.
Welcome to my part II of my Miami adventures. So besides visiting the Miami Design District which you probably saw in my last post. I also traveled to Miami for the first Simply Stylist pop-up event with Coppertone. I am also writing this blog in Spanish, find translation at the bottom.
I have been a Simply Stylist follower for a while. Before I was a blogger while I was in design school. I attended one of their conferences which are held at the Grove in LA, and it was so helpful. I learned about fashion blogging, networking, styling and tips on social media. They are having a great conference coming up this summer so I highly recommend you go ahead check it out.
The event was held at the Eden Rock Miami Beach Resort. When I arrived the first thing I saw was this beautiful wall created with numerous flowers. Whoever created this wall did a great job. This was THE place to take the pics and showcase the product as well.
There were three different stations. The first one was Coppertone which was the major sponsor on this event. There were two aestheticians who took a look at my skin and told me I needed a little bit of more sun. Yeah I don’t get much sun but they shared with me a couple of tips on how to take care of my skin.
Their new clearly sheer whipped sunscreen goes on your skin smoothly and absorbs quickly. It helps your skin to feel smooth and not heavy, water resistant, UVA/UVB protection and wont’t clog your pores. It’s so smooth and easy to use. Stella the aesthetician taught me to use it before putting on my foundation and through out the day I applied that way I wouldn’t get sun burn since it was such a hot day.
I highly recommend that you guys use this product. You don’t want to get skin cancer or damage your skin in any type of way, specially since summer is around the corner. For more info check out www.coppertone.com .
[ Habian tres diferentes secciones.
There were other stations, the other one was reading of the lipstick. It was a small consultation and they would advice you what colors to wear and how to take care of your lips. The last one was all about nail care. They had great products from this company LVX which are products vegan & cruelty free. Very smooth, creamy and long lasting . Currently wearing their nail polish and it’s so nice.
The stations were decorated so pretty. They had intax Mini polaroid cameras so us influencers & bloggers can take photos. There were cupcakes, water, champagne, popsicles a variety of delicious snacks throughout the event.
[ Las estaciones estaban decoradas muy bonitas. Tenian camaras intax para tomar fotos. Habia agua, champaña, pastelitos, paletas y otros pasabocas.]
I met many influencers and bloggers. Women that have great sense of style and have a heart for this industry. No competition but support only. I felt like I knew these women for a while and can’t wait to colab with them in the future. There were other major bloggers I met that I admire so much, Kelly Sacks and Angela Cruz. It was nice to meet Brandi Cyrus and see Sarah Pollack Boyd who is the founder of Simply Stylist. I had met her in LA back in my first conference. Women who are making a difference in the industry and inspire me so much.
It was such a great weekend surrounded by so many awesome people, learning about skin protection and inspired to learn and grow more in this industry. I thank God for my brother who went with me, who took my photos and who is my right hand in all my projects. Big thanks to Simply Stylist and Coppertone for a great event and all the goodies I got.

So excited to share with you guys my latest adventure. I have mentioned before this season has been rough for me, and it’s good to get away. It’s very refreshing to be in another place surrounded by different things.
Over the weekend I was able to finally visit The Miami Design District in Miami, FL. I was in Miami for an event which I will share in part II of this series.
Miami has been known for great beaches, nightlife, food and other great places. But it has gotten more popular due to to this new edition. It’s located in South of Lemon, (little Haiti) which were a bunch of old houses that now have been now converted into very luxurious retail stores, art galleries, restaurants and cafes.
Whenever you can, take a trip to the beautiful Miami and check it out! here are some photos of the stores, details and art I found.
Details on the walls are crafted in such a unique way!

I also have a YouTube Vlog on my channel so you can check it out! <3

White Plain top: Urban Outfitters
Kicks: Adidas Gazelles
It was a little preview but there is so much out there to see, I can’t wait to go back. Hope you guys enjoyed this post and stay tune for part II of my Miami adventures.
Mine has been a bit hectic and I have learned many lessons in the past two days. WOAH!
It’s been way too much, but on a good note I have been able to have some fun lately. Last night I attended a private event that I was invited to at Earls Kitchen + Bar .
It was so cool, lots of great food , drinks and I got to meet fellow bloggers and influencers. The event was a spring party featuring the latest fashion and fast cars. They also had a silent auction supporting kids beat cancer. If you are ever in Orlando, FL you must check it out, it’s a great place.
Besides all the eventful things that have happen this week, today Thursday I woke up thinking about dance. I noticed I haven’t really spoke much of it and it’s a huge part of my life.
So here it goes…..
I started dancing since I was 3 yrs. old in Colombia. My first performance was a salsa piece with a little boy named Jorge and according to my mother that’s when my parents knew that I was going to be a dancer.
Growing up I was always choreographing pieces for family gatherings, school performances and even when I moved from Colombia to the U.S my passion never changed.
In high school I joined the drama club, chorus, the hispanic club and the International festival which showcased dancers from all over the world. I was that girl in high school know as the “Star in the making” because I was so involved in every performance at school.
In my senior year not knowing where I was going to go to college or do with my life. I joined a local dance crew in my hometown in Orlando. It was a very well known crew, and the moment I saw them perform it became my goal to be part of it.
While I waited to be part of this crew, I continued taking dance classes and training with different dancers, I did a couple of shows and auditioned for many artist. I started working at Disney dancing with Mickey and friends for all the parades which was a goal since I was little and it happened.
I became part of SolosCrew & grew so much as a dancer and as an individual . The leader of this crew Carrie which is a closer friend of mine until this day, met me when I was 17. She mentored me and lead me to continue to follow God’s heart.
With SolosCrew I learned about ministry, about God’s love and his people. It was a ministry before a dance crew and it served the community. We did many great events and music videos with various artist. Even though we have all grown, and moved on I will forever be grateful for the great times. These women will continue to have a special place in my heart.
I grew up in the Florida dance scene. I attended many dance events. Trained and competed with many talented dancers, and traveled to places I would have never imagined. You will be surprised that many of the best dancers have come out of FL.
The Dance scene is FL has a very special place in my heart.
I have been able to be part of one of the best Entertainment crews in the NBA. BlueCrew, a crew full of entertainers of many forms. We have been able to travel to Brazil, London and do a couple of performances during the games. Another great family that dance connected me to.
My skill grew so much in FL, but I wanted to grow more and take my career to the next level. So a great door opened in Los Angeles, CA the famous LA LA LAND and I moved leaving everything I knew.
The LA dance scene was very different. Very exciting, I met another level of dance. I am not gonna lie it was hard because the industry is very harsh, and requires so much but I wanted to be the best so I took on the challenges & struggles that came with it which made me stronger and better at my craft.
I used to watch America’s Best Dance Crew. I loved the Beat Freaks because they were so talented and did not compromise their style at all. I was able to take their first ever class at ML Studio in North Hollywood. We even had a freestyle session with some of the best dancers in Hollywood.
LA has help me grow so much as an artist. New to the scene there wasn’t a day where I wasn’t training, auditioning or attending dance events. I have been able to do different performances, and work with many talented artist because of it.
I have made so many great friends from many backgrounds, journeys dreams and passions. We all started as dancers and have evolved into entrepreneurs. Stepping out of my comfort zone has been the best decision I have ever made in my life. Some peeps in these photos are my best friends for life, they have a little piece of my heart with them.
So where am I with dance right now?
I know this blog has been mainly about fashion but dance introduced me to fashion. I discovered I was not only talented at dancing but at many other things. Even though a lot of people has questioned my journey, I was never created to be in just one box.
I love dance, I love the craft, the feeling that comes in my heart every time I hear a beat. My body can’t stop moving, I create moves that speak my feelings. It has been a journey a very hard journey where I have been rejected many many times. But great doors have been opened too and I can’t never take that for granted.
I STILL DANCE! not dancing for any major artists right now or touring. I still train and take classes when I can. As I have mentioned in past posts I have been dealing with some health issues which I’m still in the process of finding out and it has affected my body which makes it hard to dance. It sucks, I have cried, and have prayed to God but it’s just a season. and maybe this season is preparing me for another greater season that I need to be ready for.
I will dance until is my time to go. Even if is just dancing in my living room I will never let go of my gift. The gift that God gave me to inspire and bless others. The gift that was there for me when no one acknowledge me. The gift that helped me with my confidence and the one God used to transformed me into who I am now.
Thank you for letting me share my journey , I will keep you all updated with my dance life. No matter what let’s keep dancing through life, and never give up on a dream or any gift that you have.
Happy Tuesday! another week to be productive, get things done and live your life. Also have you guys seen all the awesome sunglasses that are trending?
OMG! so many retro, round, big styles that celebrities, influencers and other peeps are wearing now a days. I feel like every time I’m on Instagram or Pinterest I run into a post of someone wearing some great shades.
My metallic pair of fave sunnies ran out of time, R.IP! So I started doing my research for some new ones and on Pinterest I found an awesome and affordable company of sunnies called ZeroUV .
I found some great sunglasses! Great for both men and women. I liked the presentation of their website and all their social media channels. When I subscribed to their mailing list they sent me a coupon to use for my first purchase.
Keeping it real I was a bit afraid of purchasing my sunnies online. I usually get them from local boutiques or random shopping adventures but after seeing all their great reviews, I took the leap and BAM!! done deal.
I found this retro hippie oversized round ones. They are so cool, and I really wanted a piece that made a statement. I have worn them a couple of times and have gotten great responses.
ZeroUV is very legit, by the way this post is not sponsored by them. I’m just sharing my experience with them and recent sunglasses trends. They are very professional, the package arrived on time and secured. The glasses arrived in a small box, wrapped very carefully in a plastic bag and it came with the microfiber bag to keep them safe and clean.
Here are some of my looks with my new retro sunnies!
The cool thing is that I can wear them with anything <3
Hope you all enjoy this post, would love to hear your feedback on what would you friends would like me to share more on this blog. Have a great week and rock your own style.!
The weekend is almost here guys, so let’s keep pushing and finish the week strong. Today I wanted to share with you guys one of my cozy simply outfits.
As much as I love to dress up sometimes, and change my style a little bit here and there. There are days that I just want to be casual. I love a cute t-shirt, some stretch denim and of course my favorite sneakers.
About two weeks ago I found this cute graphic tee at Francesca’s Boutique. I usually don’t wear t-shirts with statements on it, but I kinda liked what it said. It’s very comfortable, flowy and not heavy at all. I believe the fabric is a mixture of polyester and rayon.
I like to wear a lot of denim, usually dark denim but I found this washed out stretchy jeans at Styles for less. Since I am not very tall I have to fold the bottom of my jeans so I can have a proportioned outfit. My cute bag is actually a phone that it works haha and it’s from Betsey Johnson.
Tip: No matter what, always add a statement accessory to your outfit.
Mint in Spring!
Pastels are huge during this season, but what’s trending right now is MINT. I love anything mint and when I saw this low top Adidas Gazelles, “I died” like my fashion icon Rachel Zoe would say.
I have been a lover of Adidas since I was 12. I worked as a sales associate years ago and learned so much about the brand. There are so many great sneaker brands out there, but Adidas always has a special place in my heart. Their quality is great and designs are very unique in comparison to others in my opinion.
Gazelles started as a sport shoe. It was a performance shoe for a while , but later on it translated more into the fashion industry by people wearing them more in their daily outfits. I found this great article in regards to the history of this shoe if you want to read more about it. http://www.complex.com/sneakers/2016/07/adidas-gazelle-history
A little throwback to the 90’s this gazelles are pigskin leather, it has the triple stripes detail on the sides. Trefoil logo on the tongue of the shoe and heel tab. Very comfy, and wearable with a variety of pieces.
Thank you guys for taking the time and reading this post. Hope you guys have a great weekend.
I hope you guys had a great Valentines, whether you are in a relationship, married, single or not remember you are worthy, loved and you have purpose. It’s been a very busy month, but today Saturday morning I woke up inspired to share some of my favorite faves.
I try to be conscious about what I purchase , last month I focused on just items that I needed and that would make a statement. As much as I love shopping, I am trying to focus on buying items that I only need. I hope this post inspires you to keep shopping for the things you need, to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. Also this post is not sponsored by any of these companies, I just wanted to share with you guys my latest shopping experience and the great items I found.
at knee-length and it has pockets! it’s a very fun wearable dress for a day out or a nice date.
It’s kind of challenging for me to wear prints sometimes since I like more of basics colors, but when I found this dress it caught my eye and it was only $27.99. Perfect item for the spring season coming up!
(booties from Kohl’s)
I don’t own that many bags anymore since I been moving so much and half of my closet I have given it away, but I wanted an everyday bag that would go with everything and where I can fit my most important every day items. I went online to JustFab and signed up for the VIP member program.
Let me just tell you that I save so much $$$ because the original bag was $59.95 but because it was my first purchase and I had become a VIP member I payed….tan tan tan…$14.94!! yeah shipping and all I was so happy because any dollar that one can save it’s awesome or literally #goals.!
Faux leather, gold zippers, removable strap, 3 pockets 2 inside and 1 inside and it’s a very versatile item.
I was very happy with my purchase, and shopping on JustFab’s website was easy and you find some great items for your closet. I recommend highly that you check out their website and learn more about their VIP membership program.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post today and for your support, I will post more of my favorite things and let me know if you enjoy this post or anything you would like to see. Have a great weekend darlings.!
Let’s pack your bags, your imagination and creativity and let’s travel to Florence Italy! Italy is known for their beautiful scenery, vineyards, food, art and culture but also for their taste in fashion. You know how in New York we have New York Fashion Week, in Italy there is also Milan Fashion week where some of the class brands like Prada, Gucci, and Armani are of Origin. As a fashion influencer and future designer, I have to always be on top of my game. I have to keep up with the latest news in fashion, what’s going on, which new brands are coming out and so on. Sometimes we focus on just looking at Pinterest , Fashion websites or Instagram to know what’s going on in fashion and yeah it is helpful but we need to learn that there is more out there, and that’s why I wanted to create this post and teach you all about Pitti Uomo, so let’s do this!
Pitti Uomo is one of the world’s most important platform’s for men’s clothing,
accessory collections, and for launching new projects for men’s fashion. A four-day event held in Florence, Italy and has been around since 1972. Many retailers, buyers, editors attend to view the upcoming collections, and since blogging has growing so much, there were many influencers and bloggers that attend the event and share on social media that now it is really well-known.
Recently 1,200 brands presented which draws 25, 000 buyers, and in Italy the govt has upped the quota for the fashion industry from 23 million euros to 24.3 million about 3 years ago according to WWD magazine, they continue to support the fashion industry which is well-known for their great fabrics and tailoring.
As you guys know I love doing illustrations from my favorite fashion shows or events, when I found out about Pitti I started doing my research, learned more about it and started following a lot of bloggers and influencers. I love menswear and the details and how clean and precise some of the items are.
Here are some of my favorite street style looks:
Here are these two fashionable men Rui Martins and Niccolo Cesari .
They are both very well-known for their style and passion for fashion, I love the details on their coats and accessories.
When I saw this image on the feed from Pitti, it caught my eye because of the powerful play of patterns. JJ88Fashionist makes it look so chill, he is just looking at the news but in such a fashionable way making a statement.
Ladies!! we can rock suits too, not only the guys made a statement at Pitti but there
were some pretty stylish women that brought their A game! I was very excited to see women represent by looking powerful and also chic. Here is Monika Kaminska wearing
a RTW harvey suit and looking so sharp. So yeah we as women can rock a dress and a tailored suit as well.
I had such a great time creating this looks, and learning about Pitti.I encourage you to go out there and learn about what’s going on in the world, thank you for taking the time and reading my post I hope you enjoy it and that you were able to learn something new.
