I hope you guys had a great weekend. I had a first challenging week of 2018, but I am not surprised. Personally I think that whenever you want to achieve something great, life will challenge you in many ways and you have to adjust and overcome. Last week I took some time to think about my goals for this year, and what do I really want to achieve. We can get caught up on the high of a new year, resolutions and setting up goals, but do we really take the time to sit and think about our goals? our way of doing things?
After thinking and writing down some things, I shared an insta story video on my Instagram and asked people if they wanted me to share my tips on how to create achievable goals for this year. 87% said yes! So today I am sharing my tips and what I used to set my goals.
1.) Get a planner!
A planner will help you so much. I can’t recall the last time I didn’t function with one. At some point in my life I had more than one planner. A planner will help you stay focus, complete priorities and important things that you have in life. I write down important things that have to get done in order to achieve my goals.
2.) A notebook or Journal: I always keep a journal or notebook to write down ideas, or notes on something important. You can get any kind and create something that will keep you excited for the things that you have to accomplish.
3.) Paper, pen and keep it simple! I took a blank piece of paper, divided it into the middle and wrote on each side personal and career. I wrote down two categories because I wanted to keep it simple, and not overwhelmed myself. Use your favorite pens or pencils, and keep this goal list in a place where is viewable for you.
Finding out your style, and doing things your way is very helpful. I know there are so many resources out there on how to achieve your goals, and what to do but you can create your own. I found some great tools, and just kept it simple. Life gets busier, crazy and we can’t always achieve what we set ourselves to do.
2018 will be a year of achievement, and of progress. Wishing you all the best and I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any particular ways to create your own goals please leave me a comment, I would love to read all about it. Have a great week and stay tune for more fun post.

Happy New Year! I cannot believe that 2018 is here. Time is really flying by and we have to continue to do the best that we can. I hope you guys had a great time during the holidays, and now we are all back to work. I have to say 2017 was a year of many many losses for me. Even though it was a challenging year, there were some major accomplishments and I am proud to say that 80% of my goals were met. Today January 2nd I took some time to write my goals for this new year, keeping it realistic and simple. I shared some tips on my Instagram stories but definitely I will be creating a blog post soon sharing how and what I use to create my goals.
Starting this new year there has been some big changes in my life already, and life has already shifted in some interesting ways. I realized that this year I have to kick comfort out of my life and face change so I can see progress. I am very excited for this year, praying and hoping for great opportunities, growth, and peace. I encourage you that whatever you are struggling with, it will pass and you will make it through. You are not alone because I am facing some challenges right now and I will overcome them, so we are in this together friends.

Is anyone ready for the holidays? To be honest with you guys I am not ready, it’s crazy that everything is Christmas decorated and I’m getting so many emails about sales and promotions. Let’s not freak out guys, we can make it through this craziness little by little and day by day. Today I wanted to share something different, I feel like with all of this holiday talk and busy schedules in our lives is hard to find some down time.
The past couple of months have been very busy, and November/December don’t look any different. I am trying to stay on top of everything as much as I can, learning new things, being an adult and having a balance life. There are days that I find it very hard to stay motivated, but what has helped me a lot lately has been listening to different podcast.
Every morning there is a bit of a struggle, so I try my best on my commute to work to get ready for the day, stay focus and be productive . So here are my favorite podcast that have help me in my career and personally as well.
1.) Becoming Fearless Style Collective Podcast : Annie Spano created Style Collective which is a platform to help women who want to turn their side hustles, and dreams into a career. Every Monday morning there is a new podcast, and there is always someone new who shares their story. How they became fearless, tips on career and personal life. I truly enjoy this podcast because is real, honest and there are so many tips. You can also join style collective and become a member, is affordable and very very helpful.
2.) Don’t Keep Your Day Job: Great guest speakers sharing about their careers, and how they quit their day job to pursue their dream career. They keep it real, and Cathy Heller creator of this podcast asks great questions, and makes sure that whoever is sharing their story, share important details on how they overcame challenges, and how they quit their day jobs.
3.) The influencer Podcast: Great entrepreneurial advice on how to be a successful influencer in whatever industry you are working in. Tons of guest speakers as well talking about their brands, companies and different business. Great tips for the blogging and digital influence industry.
4.) GirlBoss Radio: Sophia Amoruso it’s very funny and honest. She has had many ups & downs in her career. She shares personal anecdotes and interviews women who are running their companies, sharing about their lives and also their struggles. I have been a major fan of her work since I got the book and she has a lot of experience in regards to creating a company from scratch.
5.) The Accidental Creative: All about creatives, how to approach ideas, projects, business, and life. Very insightful and realistic.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found it helpful. As much as I love to share fashion post, I like to change things here and there, and create content that is helpful for you guys. Please leave a comment and share your thoughts, have a great week and continue to create, share and inspire.
This post is going to be a little different than the other ones. I love creating various types of content, but sometimes is good to keep it real and share what’s on the heart. Not everything is Instagram fabulous, we deal with daily struggles, challenges, disappointments and it’s good to share those things because we can relate more to others. I want this blog to be about creativity, I want it to be a place where you guys can learn something, relate, be inspire, but I also want to keep it real, and be honest.
October was a rough month. There were some hard moments in my life that I was not ready for. Loosing my dog was the hardest thing, in a few days it will be a month since she passed. I have been trying to stay busy so I won’t be sad, but avoiding sadness is not easy. Just taking a walk around my neighborhood makes me sad because I was so used to walking with her. Also My father got a major surgery, he is recuperating but it has been very hard on him. It’s difficult to see your love ones in pain and I had to make sure I was focused on my him, and not trying to multi-task and think about all the things I had to work on. I had so much peace and I definitely know it was God that kept me together. It’s great to be goal driven, hungry for your dreams but nothing is more important than family and no matter what I will never turn my back on them because they have always been there for me.
Even though my heart was so weak, and I had no inspiration to do anything. I got the opportunity to work with three different brands for some cool campaigns, I got paid for a huge design project I worked on with a brand in LA , and I got back into sewing and making garments which they will be coming soon to the blog, So in the middle of so much there were some major blessings and I am so grateful for them. No one or nothing in life prepares you for death or health challenges, I wish in high school or college they had a course were they can prepare you but it won’t never happen. Sometimes I felt alone, confused, unloved, like a loser to be honest with you guys, but God, my family and some of my close friends helped me during such a crazy month. So if you are dealing with something major, let me tell you that you are not alone! You have God, friends, family people that believe in you and a purpose in this world.
So for this dear November I am taking it slow. Refocusing myself on what matters, like getting back to working out, eating healthier, sleeping more, spending more time with God I truly believe that having these foundations help to have a balanced life. Also I am learning more about blogging, content creation and influencer marketing, I want to make sure I’m not falling into the pattern of just taking photos, or just making pretty post but creating. Getting back to basics, to the foundation of what I want this platform to be.
I know this was probably a lot, but I wanted to share and give you guys a little update on my life, and If any of you guys are dealing with something know that you are not alone and you can overcome it. Not everything is picture perfect, or Instagram fabulous like I said earlier, we all have our days but we can make it through! I am hoping the best for this dear November and you should too!
Can we talk about how time is flying? I cannot believe that October is here. September was definitely a crazy month, but we made it through. Even though it was a very challenging month, there were many blessings. I got my first two campaigns! also I was able to host a fall fashion event, and sketch live at Vera Bradley (Post coming soon) I was on a roll and something unexpected happened, something that I was not ready for in any way. Unfortunately my fur baby/best friend and companion Echo died this past Wednesday October 4, 2017. My dog was a huge part of my life, I truly wish I would have posted more about her, but God knows how much I love her and gave her the best life. It has been a very rough couple of days for my family and I, but we are thankful for the time we were able to spend with her, the memories and the great dog that she was to us. If you have fur baby, a dog or any kind of pet; cherish it, love it, spend time and never take it for granted. As you can tell, time is flying and is very important to spend time with the ones that really matter.
For this month as much as I want to work and do so many things, I want to focus on taking care of myself. Taking care of yourself is very important. If you are not resting, eating healthy, exercising, and slowing down from your crazy schedule you can get sick and feel burned out. I have been there where I do way too much, and forget about myself. I want to share with you certain items that I have been using, and will continue to use throughout this month, to make sure that I feel and look healthy. Making sure my mind, soul and body are in a good standing place, so I can continue to work hard and do the things that I love.
For mind & Soul: A Devotional from a really good friend of mine Carrie Lucarini. She is a woman who has dedicated her life to God, and shares her heart on this devotional. It has been very helpful to me everyday because it helps me to get a scripture before I start my day. You can get a copy here: http://www.xulonpress.com/bookstore/bookdetail.php?PB_ISBN=9781545611562
Another great item that has helped me to relax and enjoy “ME” time, is this Caramel Corn handmade soy candle from Marcish Market. My friends Marc & Trish have started this awesome business, and they create this awesome soy candles. My house smells great, packaging is so cute and on the top of the lid, it has a scripture. They use man made synthetic oils, but their oils are non-toxic. I highly recommend it so check it out when you guys can.
Simple Skincare : With all the craziness and stress that I have been under, I have been using Simple skincare products. I have used this products for almost a year now. My skin is very sensitive, and I have tried it all pretty much, but this products have been the only ones that have helped me. They don’t use harsh chemicals or artificial perfumes. I truly enjoy using the cleanser and the smoothing facial scrub.
L’oreal pure face mask: I love love this mask! it’s such a good investment for your skin. It exfoliates, unclogs and tightens pores. It’s very smooth on the skin, and afterwards it feels refreshed and soft. They have three different kinds and the one i’m using currently is the red algae.
OPI Fiji Collection: I was sent a small set to try it out from the ELLE Magazine inner circle that I am part of, and the colors are so rich and pretty. Even though they are spring/summer colors, they are great for any occasion during the year.
Skinn Cosmetics Lip 6X Balm: This lip balm I use it before going to bed, and it helps my lips to stay hydrated and moisturized. You can use it throughout the day too before putting on your day to day lipstick or lipgloss.
I hope you guys found this post helpful. I encourage you to take some time, rest, take care of yourself, eat healthy and exercise. Also invest in products that are good for you and will help you to stay in balance. I would like to thank Marcish Market for my awesome candle, Simply Stylist for my Skinn Cosmetics Lip balm and Elle inner circle for the OPI Fiji collection. I have enjoyed using this products, and I am sharing my honest opinion on them. Thank you all for your love and support, don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you won’t miss a thing.
Greetings from Florida. As you all know we have a massive hurricane on the way by the name of IRMA. It’s suppose to hit us by Sunday, and this week has been a bit weird due to all of this happening. We are trying to prepare as much as we can and trusting God that he will keep our state safe. Besides all that happening, it’s a new month! I can’t believe September is here and there is so much happening.
I am looking forward to…
The shows, street looks, trends and all the craziness. This year due to the hurricane I couldn’t make it to NY. I would have love to attend, but my priority is my family and I wouldn’t be able to be at peace knowing that there is so much going here in FL. As for right now I am keeping up with the shows while watching http://nyfw.com/ and of course on social media.
The color scheme, boots, heavy denim, and flannel shirts.
THE CHANGE IN LEAVES
The different tones, sizes and colors of leaves when they fall from the trees. So pretty!
August was a very busy month, I am very proud of myself because I was consistent with my channel and blog, I did see the growth but I was exhausted. It is very challenging to work a full time job, working side projects, keep up with social media, create content for YouTube, the blog and having a life. I barely made it to the gym, ate badly and didn’t really have enough sleep. I have noticed that my face has suffered too, so for this month I promise myself to make more time to read my bible, get enough rest, get back into working out, eating healthy and have a balance life. As much as I love being busy and seeing my work grow, it’s not smart to sacrifice my health.
I hope you guys are having a great September so far! Please Subscribe to my blog so you won’t miss any content, and leave me a comment telling me what are you looking forward to this month! Have a great weekend <3
P.S: Check out my recent FALL illustration, a little preview of the process.
Disclamer: I don’t own any rights to this images. They were found on Pinterest, except my Fall illustration.
Community is very important. We all want to belong and be part of something. We live in a very high tech world and at the reach of our hands we get information of what’s going on and what are people up to nowadays. We forget to call or have face to face conversations with people, and let’s keep it real sometimes we feel alone.
Whatever dream or passion you are chasing, you need a community. It gets lonely working and going after things you are passionate about. It has happened to me a lot and specially when I started this journey. I remember when I started it was challenging for me to explain to people what my new venture was. Some go it and some didn’t seem to care.
I am so thankful that this new year I have been able to attend more blogging & content creator events where I have met goal driven, passionate and like minded individuals who are on their constant hustle.
I have heard great things about Style Collective. I did my research and decided to attend this party and hear more about it. My close blogging besties have spoken so highly of this community and how much it has helped them that it sparked something within me. Most of the details were taken care of by Nikki. She did a great job, other members brought some food and there were a couple of brands. Nikki also had a snapchat filter made for the party!
Local vendors like Lola Trixx which has great hand made customized jewelry pieces were there providing their services to fix pieces that needed some help.
I got to speak to the founder of Batey Girls. An organization that focuses on helping women, and young girls who have been victimized by domestic violence and sex trafficking in the Dominican Republic. These women and girls have a heart for creativity and they design each jewelry piece with a story behind. I was amazed hearing how the organization started and looking at each piece made me grateful for my life and what I have. The pieces are so beautiful and they have such a meaning. If you can please visit their page.
It was so hot on this day, but it was such a fun party. This summer has been very busy for me but I really wanna make the time and do fun things. It felt good to be reunited with my blogging babes and meetings new ones. So whichever dream you are trying to achieve and if you feel lonely, let me tell you that you are not. There is a community, there is help, there is people you can count on. Go out there and find it.
Like the famous high school musical song: “We are all in this together”!
I can’t believe that June is here. June is a very special month for me because it’s my birthday month. A lot of people look at getting older as a bad thing but I don’t at all. I have accomplished a lot of great things in my life and there is so much more to do, so it’s exciting to see what doors God will open.
Every summer since I was little there was a celebration. My brothers birthday is in June too, and many times we have celebrated our birthdays together. This year he got an internship with a great company and we won’t be together but I am so happy for him and proud that he is chasing his dreams as well.
June brings summer and it brings change. It ‘s a new month to set goals, and to enjoy life as well. I am learning to do that more because I get on this mindset of work work work like Rihanna would say and I don’t take the time to enjoy life like I should.
So I created this mood board for this month. I was so inspired by the colors, items, and textures. So dreamy!
So what’s in for June?
I am creating a new website for my blog. Time to invest a little more and make it more professional so stay tune.!
For the first time attending BLOGHER 2017! it’s a huge conference and I am attending as a blogger/influencer VIP thanks to my blogging mentor Laila. (check out her awesome blog too)
Creating and creating more helpful content for you my friends.
Personal: I want to get closer to God so I will try my best to read my bible more and brake down scriptures for better understanding.
Eating healthy & working out more.
Celebrating life with my family & close friends.
So what are your plans or things you are looking forward on this month?
I hope you guys enjoy this post. Go out there and gather inspiration, create a mood board, set your goals and continue to go after your dreams. Best wishes for the rest of this June.
P.S: Photos found on Pinterest. I don’t own any rights to any of them.
Mine has been a bit hectic and I have learned many lessons in the past two days. WOAH!
It’s been way too much, but on a good note I have been able to have some fun lately. Last night I attended a private event that I was invited to at Earls Kitchen + Bar .
It was so cool, lots of great food , drinks and I got to meet fellow bloggers and influencers. The event was a spring party featuring the latest fashion and fast cars. They also had a silent auction supporting kids beat cancer. If you are ever in Orlando, FL you must check it out, it’s a great place.
Besides all the eventful things that have happen this week, today Thursday I woke up thinking about dance. I noticed I haven’t really spoke much of it and it’s a huge part of my life.
So here it goes…..
I started dancing since I was 3 yrs. old in Colombia. My first performance was a salsa piece with a little boy named Jorge and according to my mother that’s when my parents knew that I was going to be a dancer.
Growing up I was always choreographing pieces for family gatherings, school performances and even when I moved from Colombia to the U.S my passion never changed.
In high school I joined the drama club, chorus, the hispanic club and the International festival which showcased dancers from all over the world. I was that girl in high school know as the “Star in the making” because I was so involved in every performance at school.
In my senior year not knowing where I was going to go to college or do with my life. I joined a local dance crew in my hometown in Orlando. It was a very well known crew, and the moment I saw them perform it became my goal to be part of it.
While I waited to be part of this crew, I continued taking dance classes and training with different dancers, I did a couple of shows and auditioned for many artist. I started working at Disney dancing with Mickey and friends for all the parades which was a goal since I was little and it happened.
I became part of SolosCrew & grew so much as a dancer and as an individual . The leader of this crew Carrie which is a closer friend of mine until this day, met me when I was 17. She mentored me and lead me to continue to follow God’s heart.
With SolosCrew I learned about ministry, about God’s love and his people. It was a ministry before a dance crew and it served the community. We did many great events and music videos with various artist. Even though we have all grown, and moved on I will forever be grateful for the great times. These women will continue to have a special place in my heart.
I grew up in the Florida dance scene. I attended many dance events. Trained and competed with many talented dancers, and traveled to places I would have never imagined. You will be surprised that many of the best dancers have come out of FL.
The Dance scene is FL has a very special place in my heart.
I have been able to be part of one of the best Entertainment crews in the NBA. BlueCrew, a crew full of entertainers of many forms. We have been able to travel to Brazil, London and do a couple of performances during the games. Another great family that dance connected me to.
My skill grew so much in FL, but I wanted to grow more and take my career to the next level. So a great door opened in Los Angeles, CA the famous LA LA LAND and I moved leaving everything I knew.
The LA dance scene was very different. Very exciting, I met another level of dance. I am not gonna lie it was hard because the industry is very harsh, and requires so much but I wanted to be the best so I took on the challenges & struggles that came with it which made me stronger and better at my craft.
I used to watch America’s Best Dance Crew. I loved the Beat Freaks because they were so talented and did not compromise their style at all. I was able to take their first ever class at ML Studio in North Hollywood. We even had a freestyle session with some of the best dancers in Hollywood.
LA has help me grow so much as an artist. New to the scene there wasn’t a day where I wasn’t training, auditioning or attending dance events. I have been able to do different performances, and work with many talented artist because of it.
I have made so many great friends from many backgrounds, journeys dreams and passions. We all started as dancers and have evolved into entrepreneurs. Stepping out of my comfort zone has been the best decision I have ever made in my life. Some peeps in these photos are my best friends for life, they have a little piece of my heart with them.
So where am I with dance right now?
I know this blog has been mainly about fashion but dance introduced me to fashion. I discovered I was not only talented at dancing but at many other things. Even though a lot of people has questioned my journey, I was never created to be in just one box.
I love dance, I love the craft, the feeling that comes in my heart every time I hear a beat. My body can’t stop moving, I create moves that speak my feelings. It has been a journey a very hard journey where I have been rejected many many times. But great doors have been opened too and I can’t never take that for granted.
I STILL DANCE! not dancing for any major artists right now or touring. I still train and take classes when I can. As I have mentioned in past posts I have been dealing with some health issues which I’m still in the process of finding out and it has affected my body which makes it hard to dance. It sucks, I have cried, and have prayed to God but it’s just a season. and maybe this season is preparing me for another greater season that I need to be ready for.
I will dance until is my time to go. Even if is just dancing in my living room I will never let go of my gift. The gift that God gave me to inspire and bless others. The gift that was there for me when no one acknowledge me. The gift that helped me with my confidence and the one God used to transformed me into who I am now.
Thank you for letting me share my journey , I will keep you all updated with my dance life. No matter what let’s keep dancing through life, and never give up on a dream or any gift that you have.
It’s a new year, and we all have the opportunity to start with a clean slate. I honestly don’t like resolutions but goals, it makes more sense and it’s less pressure. This first week since day 1 I have taken the time to really dig deep and look into the goals that I want to accomplish and really commit myself too. Not just only work work work, but taking care of myself, growing in my faith and spending time with others.
I am a visual person, I love to have something in front of me that can remind me of the things that I want to accomplish. I want to share with you guys, helpful tips on how to put together a vision board and what exactly is it. Hopefully you will all find it helpful and if you have any tips you want to share definitely leave a comment, I wish you all the best for this year and let’s make it happen.
A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life. (found on Wikipedia)
You can create one on your laptop, iPad or phone or just make one for your office or room using actual images from magazines. I used to do this a lot but since I discovered pinterest, things have changed and pretty much I just do it on my iPad by using an awesome app called (Pic Collage) which is free and it’s very helpful.
1.) Visualize your goals, what do you picture yourself getting done? what do you wanna accomplish?
2.) Once you have an idea of what your goals can look like, start googling , looking on Pinterest, magazines or using any kind of search engine that you like and find images that can remind you of that goal that you imagined. I love finding creative images, quotes, anything random that comes to mind trust me you will find it.
3.) Gather as many images that you can and save them, that way when you start putting your vision board together and you have plenty of choices.
4.) There is no right or wrong way of placing the images, I like to place like a quote next to a strong print, or an image of an object next to just another random image that way they can pop together, it doesn’t have to match the idea is for you to remember and have that visual to remind you of what you wanna get done.
5.) Some of the tools that I have used are very inexpensive, I have used a cork board that you can find at any arts and craft store like Michael’s or Jo Ann’s, I know Walt Mart has them too. Scissors, glue, color pencils, glitter, stickers or anything that you would like use it and have fun. Now if you wanna do it digitally; just find an app where you can create a collage and do it, that way you can use it as a background in all your gadgets.
If you need an exapmple for your board, this is mine. My 2017 Vision board that includes all the images that I found on Pinterest, and I used of course Pic Collage to put them all together. It includes my personal, spiritual and career coals.
I also created one for the month of January, including my goals that way I can remember what I am working on, and that way it’s more organize and precise.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, go out there create your vision board, have fun, don’t be a perfectionist about it and just do it! Creating a visual board has truly helped me accomplish my goals in the past few years, and has motivate me and inspired me,
